The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain

My body has been giving me gentle nudges for weeks

and now even the weather makes me stay inside and take it easy!

I finally found time to make those pom-poms I have been wanting to make since May

and I have enough redcurrant jelly to feed a whole village!

The cat (who also doesn't want to go outside) is enjoying some sofa-company 

and I might just finish yet another book :)

Picking red currants used to remind me of summers in Sweden

last summer that memory changed to breakfasts with my dear friend Fien

Now it reminds me of picnics in the garden with the man I love ...

a very special someone who got up in the middle of the night and drove about 400 km 

to catch a flight to come and surprise me on my birthday (!!!)

Halfway ...

Time flies when you're having fun!

Especially when building sandcastles, trying out new restaurants & beating competitive people at minigolf ;)

It's a real shame Swedish summers are so short ...
In about a month's time the tourists will have left again and the island will return to its usual quiet self.

It's definitely time for a big adventure this fall!

Summer!

 Summer is here!

The sun is shining, 

the tourists have started to invade our little island

and this afternoon I'm welcoming my first guests at Muramaris!

This is the very first summer I'll be spending entirely on Gotland.

Anything else would just be wrong :)

I turn it off!

FINALLY an infographic and campaign about the enormously wasteful habit of leaving your engine running while you're not actually driving.

Something that has pissed me off for as long as I can remember will maybe finally die off and disappear!

Hello Health!

This is not a commercial - I (unfortunately) am not paid to write this blogpost - 

but this beast of a machine has been on my wish list for quite a while ...

and now she's mine!

Meet Judy the juicer & the first drinks she produced :)

Since the day was started on such a healthy note, 

we just continued with a kick-ass salad (partly home-grown) ...

... and finished with a disney movie & a healthy amount of chocolate :D
